Risk scores generated by ScamShield are based on:

• Third-party data sources that may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate
• Publicly available information that may change without notice
• Automated analysis that cannot account for all circumstances

We make no representation or warranty that any result is accurate, complete, or current. A low-risk score does not mean a party is safe. A high-risk score does not mean a party is fraudulent.

Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for your own financial, personal, and legal decisions. ScamShield results should be used as one factor among many when evaluating risk — not as the sole basis for any decision.

Always independently verify information through official channels (your bank, SAPS, SABRIC, SAFPS) before making payments to unknown parties.

Third-Party Data

ScamShield aggregates data from external services including WHOIS registries, DNS providers, and other publicly available sources. We do not control the accuracy or availability of these services and accept no liability for errors in their data.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, Werner Rall and ScamShield shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, or harm — whether direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential — arising from the use of or reliance on any information provided by the Service. This includes, without limitation:

• Decisions made based on risk scores or recommendations
• Errors or omissions in third-party data
• Service downtime or unavailability

Community Reports

Scam reports submitted by users represent the views and experiences of those users, not verified findings by ScamShield. We moderate reports to prevent abuse, but we cannot guarantee their accuracy. Being the subject of a community report does not constitute evidence of wrongdoing.
